Scientific Glassware
We primarily use two types of glass in our fabrication: borosilicate and quartz.
Borosilicate glass is used in the fabrication of most laboratory apparatus. This glass has a high resistance chemical attack and thermal shock. Due to a low coefficient of expansion, mechanical breakage is minimized.
Quartz glass is transparent and contains 99.9% silica. Characterized by practically zero thermal expansion, quartz is not affected by thermal shock.
